Yes, we have a large carpark at the rear of the building.

The carpark entry is off Trent Avenue, look for the ESCAPLEX PARKING sign.

Entry into Escaplex is at the side of the building.

WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM & HOW DOES IT WORK?2024-03-08T14:08:00+09:30

Our escape rooms are a live experience.  Players enter a themed room and work together to find the clues, solve the riddles and complete the puzzles & challenges within the room.

Games must commence on time, so it is important for all players to arrive in a timely manner.  Lockers will be provided free of charge for all electronic devices and belongings. You will not need to bring in any items, including torches, paper and pens.

Before players can begin, everyone will be briefed on the rules and then game, along with the 60 minute countdown, will begin.

Our rooms have been designed to promote teamwork and often challenges require more than one person to complete them, so good communication is important. Everyone will need to work together if you want to “escape”.

If your team is successful, you will be congratulated over the audio system and a staff member will advise your escape time.

If your team does not escape within the 60 minutes, an audible message is played over your room to advise that your session time is up.  Before escorting your group out, a staff member will walk your group through some, or all of the remaining challenges left to complete.

WHAT DOES A KEYLESS ESCAPE ROOM MEAN?2022-12-23T11:51:52+09:30

Very simply it means just that – NO KEYS or PADLOCKS!

Our rooms are fully automated, electronically controlled smart rooms.

Electronics, sensors and more have been integrated into our rooms and puzzles to give you an immersive experience.

It’s like being inside a computer game, where standard everyday items like microwaves, telephones, pictures, cupboards, taps, cooktops etc, are much more than they first appear.

IS YOUR VENUE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?2022-10-18T20:09:20+09:30

Wheelchairs can access our reception, waiting rooms & bathroom areas only.

Unfortunately our escape rooms are not accessible for wheelchairs.  They either require stair access, have limited space, or require you to climb over steps or objects to progress in the game, however we hope to be able to provide wheelchair accessible escape rooms in the future.

We do not offer any party packages or have “party rooms” for hire.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted (except water bottles).

You can purchase and redeem Gift Vouchers through our website, just click the ‘Gift Vouchers’ link in the navigation bar at the top.

All gift voucher purchases can be customized after purchase and then be printed or emailed.
If you prefer to pick up a voucher from our business, please call or email ahead to arrange.

When redeeming gift vouchers please note that the discount will apply at the end of the booking. You’ll need to select your date and session first and follow all the booking steps. The discount will then be applied when you are ready to pay.

All gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from date of purchase.

Allow approximately 10 minutes before your session and 10 minutes after.
Players have 60 minutes in the escape room to complete all the challenges.
If teams do not complete all the challenges within the allocated time, staff can walk teams through the remaining challenges.

IMPORTANT – Sessions begin on time and the 60 minutes will commence no later than your booking start time!

After playing your escape room game, groups are welcome to use our complimentary Photo booth. All photos taken will be uploaded to our Facebook page for you to download free of charge.

DO I HAVE TO PLAY WITH PEOPLE I DON’T KNOW?2022-12-23T11:52:05+09:30

Your booking is private and you will only be in the room with the people that you book for.
We may have other groups that book the same session time as you, but they will play in different rooms to your group.

Please note that we do not have duplicate escape rooms.

If you have a group that exceeds our room limits, you will need to book more than one room at the same session time, to accommodate everyone.

Our recommendations on maximum group size are for the benefit and value for all players, however if you wish to forgo our recommendation and add an extra player, we will allow it.  Book your room for the maximum amount of people, and let staff know on the day that you would like to add an extra player.

All bookings are private, meaning you are only playing with the group you book for.

CAN I ADD AN EXTRA PERSON/S TO MY BOOKING?2022-10-18T19:59:42+09:30

We are always happy to accommodate and are pretty flexible.
You can add players to your booking, so long as you do not exceed our maximum group size for your room selection.

Our recommendations on maximum group size are for the benefit and value for all players, however if you wish to forgo our recommendation and add an extra player, we will allow it, just let staff know on the day that you would like to add an extra player to your booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE RUNNING LATE?2023-03-27T12:31:42+09:30

All our escape rooms need to be cleaned, reset and ready to go before every session. Therefore it is important for your game to commence on time and everyone should arrive no later than your scheduled booking time.
If you arrive late, your 60 minutes of escape time will be reduced by the amount of time you are late, as to not impose on the next groups session time.
If anyone in your group is running late, the game will still start as scheduled and we can place them into the game on their arrival.
If you are running more than 30 minutes late, unfortunately there is not enough time to play and your group will not be able to commence at all.  Your booking will be deemed a No-Show and no refunds will be provided.

CORPORATE & LARGE GROUP BOOKINGS2023-12-15T09:12:36+09:30

For bookings outside our standard opening days & hours, pricing is a flat fee of $210 per escape room.
Pricing includes up to 6 people per room.
Additional players can be added @ $25 per person.

RESCHEDULNG
Bookings may be rescheduled, at no charge, provided at least 48hrs notice is given.
Bookings rescheduled within 48hrs to 24hrs from the booked session time will incur a $50 rescheduling fee.
Bookings will not be rescheduled with less than 24hrs notice from your booked session time and any payments will be forfeited.

CANCELLATIONS
All bookings are non-refundable.
Cancelled bookings will result in payment being forfeited.
If you do not arrive for your allocated booking time, any fee paid will be deemed a cancellation fee.

Children are welcome to play. All participants aged 5+ will be considered paying participants.
Participant(s) 15 yrs old or younger, must have at least one paying participating adult (18+) per group/room.

Children aged 4 and under are not permitted, unless in a restraint for the FULL experience.  Please decide if this is something that will suit your group.

Yes, all our rooms are suitable for children, however participant(s) between 5 yrs old – 15 yrs old must have at least one paying participating adult (18+) per group/room.
Children aged 4 and under are not permitted, unless in a restraint for the FULL experience.  Please decide if this is something that will suit your group.
Our rooms are electronically controlled, which means we do have items that can move, or open by themselves if the challenge is completed correctly, but we do not have any jump scares, or live actors in our rooms.
We have ambience music suited to the theme of the room, which can sometimes cause younger players to feel a little anxious, or frightened.
Most suitable room/s for younger participants is Deadly Dinner, or Jubilee Heist.

The entry and exit doors do lock while the game is in session, but we have a number of safety features installed so you are never completely locked in and you are free to leave the game at any time.

ARE THE ROOMS SCARY OR CLAUSTROPHOBIC?2022-10-18T19:56:41+09:30

Quite simply NO!  The rooms are electronically controlled, which means when you complete challenges correctly, lighting can change, there are sound effects, drawers & doors open by themselves.  There are no live actors or jump-scares.  Our rooms are designed to be intriguing & mysterious and perhaps to some – a little creepy.

WHICH IS THE MOST SUITABLE ESCAPE ROOM FOR MY GROUP TO PLAY?2023-03-27T12:51:13+09:30

You can’t go wrong with any of our rooms, they have all been carefully designed to make teams work together and each contain a good variety of puzzles and challenges for your team to play.

Jubilee Heist and Deadly Dinner are more achievable with approximately 49% of teams completing all challenges within 60 minutes.  Both these rooms are suitable for all ages.

Picture Imperfect is a little creepier feel and best for ages 13 years or older.  Approximately 38% of teams complete all the challenges within 60 minutes.

Wild West has more challenges to complete than any of the other rooms.  Approximately 25% of teams will complete all the challenges within 60 minutes.  This room is suitable for all ages.

Questions about pricing, refunds & cancellations

All bookings are private, meaning you are only playing with the group you book for.

Price per escape room is $110 for up to 2-players.
Additonal players can be added to each escape room at $25 per person (or $20 per child between 5yrs-15yrs old).

Any booking with children 15yrs or younger, MUST have at least one participating Adult 18+, in the experience with them at all times.
Children aged 4 and under are not permitted, unless in a restraint for the FULL experience.  Please decide if this is something that will suit your group.

* Refunds are not provided if someone doesn’t turn up on the day, therefore we strongly suggest booking for a 2-player game and pay for the remaining players on the day.

We are sorry that your friend isn’t able to come, hopefully you can find someone to fill their spot, as no refunds are provided.

If you are unsure as to your final numbers, we recommend that you book a 2-player game and pay for your remaining players on the day.

Your booking is a live experience. Once a booking is made, you have secured private access to that room for that time slot and we are unable to offer that session to any other players. Bookings are therefore final and there are no refunds offered.

RESCHEDULING – If you wish to reschedule your game, simply click on the “View / change booking” link found in your booking confirmation email.    The link is available  up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled booking time.  Bookings will not be rescheduled inside 48 hrs from your booking time, and no refunds will be provided.

CANCELLATIONS – All bookings are final, no refunds will be provided for cancellations.
